A Telephone Management system can be used to monitor all phone calls at the lodge. If you choose to use the Telephone and ResRequest interface, it may be activated in ResRequest on the Telephone Code Table screen.
Firstly, you will need to sign up with a Telephone Management system that ResRequest interfaces to – read the Telephone Management module to see what options are available. After signing up, you will need the list of the phone extensions and correlating room to set up the interface in ResRequest.
Our Technical team will also need to assist in activating the interface.
Mapping Telephone extensions to room numbers
To set up a Telephone interface, navigate to Admin > Setup > Code Tables > Integration > Telephone.
Navigate to the relevant property by selecting the tab at the top.
Select ‘types’, in the form of Extras already saved in the system, to which the telephone extension will link. If you need to create an Extra, e.g. telephone, for selection here, see the Extras Code Table tutorial for instructions.
Click on ‘Save’. Saving these selections opens a table below which lists all of the accommodation types and numbers for the property.
Set the extension line for each room under ‘Ext 1’ and allocate the correct ‘Type’. When a telephone call is charged to a room it will appear as a Extra with the Extra type selected here.
Add multiple phone line extensions if required.
Editing the account
Editing the account is possible. New settings will apply.
Deleting the account
You can’t delete the Extras link once saved but you can delete extension lines and remove the Extra link from individual rooms.
