Built with mobile in mind
While building ResNova 3.0, responsiveness was top of our mind as we know most of your guests access the internet via their mobile devices and we wanted to ensure that their user journey is optimal and user-friendly. Your guests will now be able to book rooms in a simple and accessible way, no matter the device that they’re on.
Enhanced search filters
ResNova now has an extended search functionality, allowing the guest to filter the properties they would like to see results for.
Show availability
Choose to show availability with a ‘Contact’ or ‘Enquire’ button for customers to request a quote or booking. To allow your users to book directly through the widget, see the Book Now option below. Calendar format On the calendar widget choose to show your actual availability or limit your availability, e.g. to 2, so users can see some space is available without displaying your exact availability.
Show images and room / property descriptions
Spice up your widget and entice interest in your properties by loading images and property descriptions on your Business structure for the information and booking popups in ResNova. See the ResNova setup tutorial for instructions.
Show rates
Choose to show your rates in the room information popup. The rate displayed will be for the average pax set for that room (normally 2 pax). Calendar format Extra functionality specific to the calendar format gives you the option to show your rates in the calendar days. Two rates will show automatically, one rate for a single pax, and the other for the average pax set for that room (normally 2 pax). ResNova can only display an Adult & a Child rate group. Please keep this in mind if you work with multiple rate groups.
Book Now
It’s up to you whether or not you would like to enable bookings to be made from the widgets. Ask your web developer to set the SMTP settings in ResNova so your bookers and reservationist may receive an automated email when a booking is made. These bookings will automatically be created in ResRequest and will appear in the ‘Req Received’ section/report. These bookings are the same as any other bookings made through our API, see the Manage online bookings tutorial to see how to handle them in your ResRequest system.
Select your booking source
ResNova enables you to keep track of where your bookings are coming from. Sources usually include marketing channels, which could now help you understand guest trends and focus on sales. The list of sources is populated
Pay Now
Sign up with one of ResRequest’s Payment Gateway partners to activate payments from your booking widget. The Pay Now option will prompt the guest with options to pay the full amount owing (as per the accommodation folio), any amount as stipulated by payment plans set up for the user in your ResRequest system, or, if set in the back office, you can allow guests to choose to pay later.
Who can use ResNova
ResNova is offered to ResRequest customers for use on their website and is subject to terms and conditions.
What it costs
Apart from a small setup fee for the account, the use and hosting of ResNova is totally free! You will also have to consider your web developer’s charges for creating and maintaining the widgets.
How it works
Your ResNova account is linked to a User in your ResRequest system – this enables you to set up specific rates for the widgets as they are linked to this user. This also means that if you enable bookings on your widgets, you will know exactly how much business is coming through your website as these bookings appear in the ‘Req Received’ report from this user. ResNova may be used through two different channels:
