An interface refers to a connection between software, computer hardware, peripheral devices, humans or a combination of these. Typically, information is exchanged through the connection. ResRequest has interfaces to a number of other software systems meaning that you may sign up to these systems and use them in conjunction with ResRequest. Some of these interfaces only connect to a Property server.

Interfaces such as the Point of Sale and Telephone management systems can only operate via a ResRequest property server.

Signing up to use an interface

To use an interface connection you first need to sign up to the vendors we interface to. As a ResRequest client, the interface connection is available for your use but the sign up, installation process and training for the interface system is managed directly between you and the vendor.

Additional charges of using an interface

The charge of using the interface system, e.g. PowerPOS as your POS solution, is managed directly between you and the vendor and costs are subject to the contract you negotiate with them.

Any setup changes needed in your ResRequest system can be managed through our Support team at our standard technical support charge.

What interfaces are available?

• Point of Sale / POS system (Only available for a ResRequest Property server)
  Includes a cash register and monitor typically used to record charges at the bar or curio shop.
• Telephone management system (Only available for a ResRequest Property server)
  Monitors telephone calls enabling lodges to charge for guest calls.
• Guest Survey system
  Send out guest surveys to improve your guest relationship management.  
• Payment Gateways
  Offers a platform for secure online transactions typically used for credit card payments.
