Daily operations are fast paced and high pressure and they take a network of workers and departments to keep everything running smoothly. Done right, the lodge Operations Team have the ability to provide a great guest experience which builds a loyal fan base and creates more business.
As your business management solution, ResRequest is a core component of coordinating the day to day functions at your lodge. Details of many activities and tasks performed by the lodge are fed by information recorded on bookings in ResRequest. For that they need to be added to ResRequest so that other teams in your business can perform the functions they need to perform. These functions may range from reporting on the week’s travel logistics, checking in guests at the lodge, creating a meal plan for the week to recording onsite payments. Depending on the size of your property these functions may be done in parallel by different teams or they may be managed by one team at different times.
Even though each day at your lodge has a different blend of guests, experiences and challenges, there are some functions which a lodge typically performs on a daily basis. To make sure functions are completed and to ensure easy staff continuity and consistency you should define these functions in a standard operating procedure document.
As you work through this module, remember that each lodge promotes a different experience so you may find there are parts of property management that your team will handle differently to a neighbouring lodge.
