Pesapal
Pesapal is committed to making it easier for travel and hospitality players to do business whether online or as a point of sale. ResRequest has partnered with Pesapal; and our integration provides ResRequest users the freedom to accept a wide range of online payments.
Pesapal processes payments from anywhere in the world and settles to their business merchants in either USD (available for card payments only) or in the local currency of the countries that they support (available for card payments and mobile money). Your account will show a balance of both local and USD currencies if you opt to receive all methods of payment.
Countries supported
Pesapal supports and operates out of the following countries:
- Kenya
- Malawi
- Rwanda
- Tanzania
- Uganda
- Zambia
- Zimbabwe
Card payments
International travellers also have the flexibility to use their preferred bank issued cards, making booking and payment easier for them. Visa, MasterCard and American Express card payments may be made in USD.
Card payment options include:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- American Express debits
- Pesapal also enables merchants to accept payments from Virtual Cards.
Mobile payments
This integration will prove to be especially beneficial for local travellers who may prefer using mobile money as a payment method instead of cash. Mobile payments are processed in the local currency.

- M-Pesa
- Tigo Pesa
- Airtel Money
- MTN Money
Point of sale payments
In addition to its online business and payment solutions, Pesapal also offers Sabi, a card processing point of sale terminal that sees businesses accept Visa and MasterCard payments at their premises in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
Setup
Pesapal does not charge any set up or maintenance fees and can set up merchants within 24 hours.
