Fiscalisation is the governance that ensures that TAX transactions are reported and paid correctly to Tax Authorities. Historically, fiscalisation was managed via hardware. Cloud-based technology means that fiscalisation can be automated via electronic connections to Tax Integrators.

The automated and electronic fiscalisation process has been developed in a way that the process has very little impact and change for users working with invoices in ResRequest.

This release provides new connections to select Tax Integrators in Uganda and Kenya.

The basic steps for the integration to work include: nominating a Tax Integrator (provided their technology is supported by ResRequest), activating the connection (which includes mapping of transaction codes), testing, and implementing processes for impacted teams.

Cloud-based fiscalisation is a fast and effective way to fiscalise data. It also generally means there is no reliance on additional hardware.

Activating fiscalisation

Once the interface has been set up by the ResRequest Team (and transactions have been mapped by the System Administrator), the connection will be active and transactions will be automatically posted to the nominated Tax Integrator.

The Tax Integrator sends the required information to the Tax Authority and returns a reply to ResRequest validating the invoice which can then be processed and presented to your guest or agent.

Fiscalisation reduces the risk of human error. VAT returns can be processed quickly and complete tax compliance is easy.
